Envoyez-nous vos photosMount Grand Morne is the jewel of the region and a major site for climbing. Climbing is varied, and there is a unique volcanic rock in Quebec. The majority of the routes require the use of stoppers, but some areas lend themselves to sport climbing, top rope and bouldering. In winter, it is sometimes possible to practice ice climbing on about ten routes. The season is relatively short and not all routes are formed every year. Since the 1980s, climbing has been practiced at Le Grand Morne, all under the watchful eye of the statue of the protector of climbers perched at the top of the wall since its beginnings.
